A few days late but, happy New Year!

I wanted to make sure I started this year out on a positive note, so I made sure to enjoy my last day of 2014 to the fullest and start completely fresh in 2015. I’m not one to usually make resolutions because let’s face it, I never actually stick to them but this year I’m doing things a little different.

Last year had many ups and downs but I grew from them all. It was a year of discovering truths, becoming more independent, and learning to let go and let God. I began 2014 not in the happiest way because I felt unaccomplished with myself and where I was in life. Slowly but surely I began to do little adjustments to my lifestyle and as the year went on I began to enjoy life and become genuinely happy. Of course there were a few rough patches, but I came out of last year with more gratitude for life than I’ve ever felt.

Although I am still not where I want to be and it makes me feel a little disappointed sometimes, I am making it a point to turn that around this year. I am going to try the hardest I’ve ever tried to make my dreams come true and that includes putting 100%  into this blog and other things in my life that will help me prosper.

With that said, my new year’s resolution this year is to live. I want to live life to it’s fullest, I want travel, I want to love, I want to genuinely enjoy my life. It will not be easy, but I will make those changes and by the end of this year, I vow to be where I want to be in life, happy as can be. I encourage you all to try to actually live your life this year. It is truly a great feeling when you genuinely love life and feel immense gratitude for being here.

I hope you all have an incredible new year and thank you so much for sticking with me this year!

lots of love
xo, Jess

Easy Quick Makeup For Glasses ♥

As you all may know, if you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, I have recently been dealing with an eye infection. Because of this, I haven’t been able to film any makeup videos, since I can’t really put too much makeup on my eye area. I decided to show you guys what I’ve been doing for the past week or so makeup wise while having to wear glasses.

This look is also perfect for those of you who like a more natural look, or for my younger babies who are still in middle school/high school, and are looking for an everyday look.

I hope you guys enjoy this post. Hopefully I’ll be better soon, so I can do the videos and posts I have planned

Sephora VIB Haul ♥

We all know when this time of year comes around all of us makeup addicts get a little crazy! Thankfully, I had my head on right this time around and used my VIB discount at Sephora to only purchase items I needed or have been really wanting to try, no random items. I only purchased five things but I’m really excited about each one!

VIB

Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide Foundation (Praline) – My Friend Recommended this product to me. I’ve actually never tried any Laura Mercier foundations so I am super excited to try this one as I’ve heard many good things about this specific one. Plus it’s one of her newest foundations!

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner (Black Ink) – I feel like all of the black gel liners that I own right now still don’t look super black on me. I wanted to try this one since I see it being used over and over on Youtube and it looks super duper black. Let’s hope I love it!

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer – This is another YouTube favorite that I’ve been dying to try. I love experimenting with new primers to see if they help my makeup last longer and minimize my pores!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed (Opal) – This one I bought because my other one broke 😦 I couldn’t live without it and decided to take advantage of the 20%.

Cover Fx Bronzer (Sunset) – I needed a new bronzer and was stuck on my NYX Matte Bronzer for the longest time so I decided to step outside of my NYX box for a little while. I purchased the darkest color of the bunch so that I can use it for contouring.

Those were all of the items I purchased during the VIB sale. I’m very happy with the things I purchased and can’t wait to start using them!

What did you purchase during the Sephora VIB Sale?
