Anastasia Beverly Hills Creme Contour Kit | Demo + Review

Contouring is one of the many beauty trends that has blown up and taken a life of its own. So many companies have contour kits now that it’s hard to keep up. Anastasia Beverly Hills is one of my favorite beauty brands, from her eyebrow products to her eyeshadows and lip products, it just gets better every time. I decided to invest in the creme contour kit because I already own the original powder contour kit and I figured it would be just as good.

I put it to the test in this video so take a look if you want to see a demo of how it applies!

Price: $40.00

Where Can I Purchase? Macys.com, Anastasiabeverlyhills.com

Anastasia Claims: “This best-selling, easy-to-use palette contains six highlighting and contouring shades that work together to help you sculpt, define, and enhance your natural features. Create the illusion of higher cheekbones, a smaller forehead, a softer jawline, or a slimmer nose with these smooth, velvety formulas that blend seamlessly while imparting a subtle, dewy sheen.” – Anastasiabeverlyhills.com

Packaging: As soon as I got my hands on this baby I couldn’t stop admiring how beautiful it looked. I love that Anastasia decided to leave the front clear so you can see the creme shades. The packaging is so slim and lightweight making it super easy to throw it in your makeup bag or kit. Definitely travel friendly!

Consistency: This product is obviously a creme BUT I do think Anastasia could’ve made them a little creamier. They blend out easily but I had a hard time while applying the actual product to my face.

Finish: Anastasia claims that this product is supposed to leave a subtle, dewy sheen but I didn’t really see that after I applied it. I definitely felt like it was a matte finish. It did accentuate and cling on to some of my dry areas so I don’t think I would recommend this to someone with dry skin.

Overall: Anastasia did a great job with the packaging for sure. Just looking at it makes you want it, even if you aren’t a fan of contouring. The creme itself is ok. I don’t think I love this product as much as I thought I would. It is definitely creamy (obviously, its a creme product) but I wish it were a little creamier, if that makes sense. When I was applying it, I felt like it was a little difficult to get the product on to the brush and then on to my skin. If it were creamier that step would’ve been easier. I definitely think you have to make sure you are using brushes specifically made for creme products since like I mentioned before, it is hard to get the product on to the brush and on to the face. Once I went to blend it out, it blended like a dream. I definitely think this is a good kit if you’re a makeup artist because you can replace each creme once it runs out. I will continue to use this creme contour kit, but it definitely isn’t my favorite as of right now.

L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation | First Impression

Everyone has been raving about this foundation, so I thought I would put it to the test and see if I would be a fan too! We all know I am a sucker for foundations, I love trying out new ones and seeing which ones will become my holy grails. With this particular foundation I was a little unsure whether I wanted to purchase it or not because I had heard that it was extremely mattifying and it clinged on to dry patches. After talking to a friend I decided I was going to just give it a try. What’s the worse that can happen? I don’t like it and then I have to return it?

To see the application process and my initial thoughts make sure to watch my video. Let me know if you like these types of videos and what products you would want me to review in the future! Also, don’t forget to subscribe and like the video if you enjoy it 🙂

Price: $11.99-14.99 Depending on where you purchase.

Where Can I Purchase? Walmart, Target, Ulta, Rite Aid, CVS

L’Oreal Claims: “Achieve a matte finish that won’t fall flat with this air-light, longwearing liquid formula. Lightweight and creamy, foundation goes on smooth with a demi-matte finish that lasts up to 24 hours—hiding imperfections for a smooth, clear complexion.” – Lorealparisusa.com

Packaging: I love that it comes in a tube where you can squeeze out the right amount of product. I would normally complain about a foundation not having a pump but since its a squeeze tube, that complaint does not apply. It’s plastic so you can easily throw it in your drawer and not have to worry about it breaking or it leaking. Very effortless!

Consistency: This is definitely a cream consistency. I felt it to be a little thick in consistency to begin with but then it sort of just melts right into your skin.

Finish: Matte finish for sure. It says it’s supposed to leave you with a demi-matte finish which it kind of does. The finish of this foundation can definitely leave you with a cakey look if you aren’t careful so definitely start with a light layer and then add another if necessary.

Overall: I really enjoy this foundation. I’ve been using it for work almost every day. It definitely does last forever and a day so if you’re looking for a long wear foundation, this is it. I didn’t like that it felt heavy at times and it definitely did accentuate some of my fine lines and dry spots. If you have dry skin, I would not recommend this. If you have Oily skin, you might fall in love with it. For my combination skin loves, I advise you try it first and see how you feel.

Have you tried this foundation? What are your thoughts?

Current Favorite Nail Polish Top Coats ♥

IMG_2729

It has been a while since I actually painted my nails. Long story short, I got a new job and they only allow nude or pink nail polish. Like, how boring can you get? To rebel, I decided not to paint them at all. That is until I started feeling like a little boy.

I decided to take advantage and just use up all the pink and nude nail polish that I own. The good thing is that Pink is actually my favorite color, so I have tons of Pink nail polish.

I recently purchased these two top coats and I have been loving them! I wanted to tell you guys a little about them.

FORMULA X FOR SEPHORA SHINE TOP COAT:

Price: $10.50

Where can I Purchase? Sephora, Sephora.com

This has become my go-to top coat. I heard about it from Makeupbytiffany on YouTube a while back and decided to pick it up while on a trip to Sephora. It’s supposed to give you high intensity shine and look almost Gel-like. I haven’t stopped using it since I purchased it. It brings all of my nail polishes to life and definitely gives them intense shine. Even as the days pass by the shine does not go away. As for chipping, I use my hand a lot throughout the days and weeks and I noticed it didn’t really start to chip until after a week or so. For those of you who like to switch up your nail polish very often, this is a good thing!

I definitely recommend this top coat if you love intense shine and gel like nails. It is also made without any parabens so that is an added plus!

SALLY HANSEN BIG MATTE TOP COAT

Price: $5.99

Where Can I Purchase? Any Drugstore, Ulta (In Store & Online)

I wasn’t a huge fan of matte nail polish when this trend came out. Recently, my co-worker let me try one of her new Essie Cashmere nail polishes, which dry matte. I decided to add a top coat to protect the polish and prevent it from chipping, so I purchased this Sally Hansen one and I fell in love! It’s not super matte, where your nails feel rough. There is still a slight shine to it but not as shiny as a regular top coat.

I recommend this top coat for sure if you’re like me and you want to try matte nail polishes without it feeling rough and dry.

What are your favorite Top Coats? Anything I should try?

Night Out Makeup | Feat. Amrezy Palette by Anastasia Beverly Hills ♥

If any of you are as addicted to makeup the way I am, I’m sure you also follow a thousand and one makeup “guru’s” and makeup artists on Instagram. Many of these girls are lucky enough to establish an amazing following which eventually leads to brands taking notice of them. Amrezy is one of these girls. I have been following her for a while now and I just love all of her amazing makeup looks! She’s definitely the QUEEN of highlighting in my opinion, for sure. She recently collaborated with Anastasia Beverly Hills (The QUEEN of eyebrows herself) to create an eyeshadow palette.

I personally love to support my fellow Youtubers, Bloggers, and Instagramers as much as I can, especially when I truly believe in their talent. With that said, I went out and bought this palette the week it came out (Totally would’ve bought it the day it came out, but of course it was sold out everywhere!) I’ve been in love ever since.

I plan on doing a review on it soon, so definitely stay tuned but I couldn’t help but play with it as soon as I got it so I decided to film a video doing just that 🙂

I hope you enjoy this look that I created, like I said, it was the first time I actually used the palette so I wasn’t even sure what I was going to do in the beginning haha. If you do enjoy the video, please share it with your friends & family (hey, you can even tag @amrezy herself!), comment, like, and of course subscribe!
