Current Favorite Nail Polish Top Coats ♥

IMG_2729

It has been a while since I actually painted my nails. Long story short, I got a new job and they only allow nude or pink nail polish. Like, how boring can you get? To rebel, I decided not to paint them at all. That is until I started feeling like a little boy.

I decided to take advantage and just use up all the pink and nude nail polish that I own. The good thing is that Pink is actually my favorite color, so I have tons of Pink nail polish.

I recently purchased these two top coats and I have been loving them! I wanted to tell you guys a little about them.

FORMULA X FOR SEPHORA SHINE TOP COAT:

Price: $10.50

Where can I Purchase? Sephora, Sephora.com

This has become my go-to top coat. I heard about it from Makeupbytiffany on YouTube a while back and decided to pick it up while on a trip to Sephora. It’s supposed to give you high intensity shine and look almost Gel-like. I haven’t stopped using it since I purchased it. It brings all of my nail polishes to life and definitely gives them intense shine. Even as the days pass by the shine does not go away. As for chipping, I use my hand a lot throughout the days and weeks and I noticed it didn’t really start to chip until after a week or so. For those of you who like to switch up your nail polish very often, this is a good thing!

I definitely recommend this top coat if you love intense shine and gel like nails. It is also made without any parabens so that is an added plus!

SALLY HANSEN BIG MATTE TOP COAT

Price: $5.99

Where Can I Purchase? Any Drugstore, Ulta (In Store & Online)

I wasn’t a huge fan of matte nail polish when this trend came out. Recently, my co-worker let me try one of her new Essie Cashmere nail polishes, which dry matte. I decided to add a top coat to protect the polish and prevent it from chipping, so I purchased this Sally Hansen one and I fell in love! It’s not super matte, where your nails feel rough. There is still a slight shine to it but not as shiny as a regular top coat.

I recommend this top coat for sure if you’re like me and you want to try matte nail polishes without it feeling rough and dry.

What are your favorite Top Coats? Anything I should try?

Simple Prom Makeup ♥

Prom was one of my favorite parts of High School. Getting dressed up and having a fun night out with all of my favorite people from school was the best. I’ve always been into makeup so getting glammed up was of course the best part!

I decided that I wanted to film a simple prom look for those of you who aren’t into the glitzy makeup looks like I am.Truth is, when I went to my Junior and Senior prom I wore neutral-ish makeup, so I decided to re-create something similar. I paired it with two different lip combinations so that it was suitable for those who like all neutral or for those who like a little boldness.

I hope you guys enjoy this look. Subscribe & Share if you do!

Urban Decay Naked Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer ♥

I’ve probably mentioned how dry my under eye area is about a thousand times, probably more. I’m constantly trying out new concealers hoping that one of these will do everything I need it to do. When I think I finally found the one, it lets me down, and the search continues. As I was browsing through Sephora a few weeks ago I slowly made my way into the Urban Decay section. Now, we all know how much I adore Urban Decay so as soon as I saw these little babies, I knew I had to try them! I’ve tried their Naked Skin foundation before, and it was actually one of my favorites for a while. Their Naked Skin line in general is pretty amazing if you ask me.Nakedskin

Price: $28.00 (A little pricey if you ask me, considering the M.A.C Prolongwear is $20 and that’s one of the most expensive concealers I own).

Where Can I Purchase? Urbandecay.com, Ulta, Sephora.

Urban Decay Claims: “Hide even your most scandalous flaws. Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer gives you buildable, even coverage with a luminous, demi-matte finish. Ultra lightweight, this high-tech formula melds like a second skin to give you full coverage in an instant. For complete coverage, just keep building; no matter how much you apply, Naked Skin Concealer always blends beautifully and NEVER settles into fine lines.” – Urbandecay.com

Packaging: This little baby is small enough to throw it in your makeup bag and go. I love that it is weightless and travel friendly. It comes with a little dough foot applicator that I am actually obsessed with. It’s flat on both sides for easy application. The Applicator holds just enough product so you don’t have to worry about using too much or not getting enough.

Consistency: Ugh. To. Die. For. This concealer is so creamy and so easy to blend out, it’s just like heaven. Super buildable. It’s certainly not like any concealer I have ever tried. The second I put it on, I could already see and feel a difference. It literally felt like it just melted into my skin. The best part? It didn’t even sink into my little wrinkles or cling on to my dry patches! Yay!

Finish: It is a demi-matte finish. It isn’t super matte where it looks dry or emphasizes your dry areas.

Overall: I’ve mentioned a few other favorite concealers in the past but when I tell you this has easily become one of my all time faves, I am not lying. Although I am not super happy with the color I purchased, I just cannot get enough of the consistency. This is the only concealer that doesn’t dry out my under eye area or settles into fine lines. So far it has become one of my holy grail concealers.

Everyday Makeup Routine For Work ♥

Although I love trying out colors and different looks when it comes to makeup, we all have days where we like to keep it neutral. For me, this is everyday. I work in a retail store and am not allowed to wear a full face of makeup. At first I wasn’t sure how to keep it at a happy medium where it was enough makeup for my liking but not too much where it was inappropriate for work. As I played around with different neutral styles I came to terms with this one and it’s pretty much what I wear everyday.

Keep in mind this is a full coverage look. I contour and highlight because that’s my preference. You don’t have to do that at all, especially if you don’t have the time.

I hope you guys enjoy this look. Subscribe, Like, and Share if you do!
