Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation | First Impression

FItMe

If you’ve watched my recent drugstore beauty haul video, you know that I purchased two new foundations. I wanted to try these out for you separately and then compare them to eachother. I know that with drugstore foundations it can be difficult to decide what is best for your skin. Especially since you can’t really get a sample to try before actually buying the product. I decided to start with the Matte & Poreless version of the Maybelline Fit Me foundation since it was the newest out of the two.

Price: $5-$10 (Depending on where you buy it)

Where Can I Purchase? Most Drugstores – Rite Aid, Walmart, CVS, Target, Ulta.com, Drugstore.com

Maybelline Claims: “Fit Me!® Matte + Poreless from Maybelline New York goes beyond skin tone matching to fit the unique texture issues of normal to oily skin for the ultimate natural skin fit. While some foundations can exaggerate pores and oily skin, only our pore-minimizing foundation contains our genius blurring micro-powders that erase pores and absorb oil for a naturally matte and poreless-looking finish.” –Maybelline.com

Packaging: Honestly, The bottle is cute. It’s a small glass bottle. My only downfall about this is that it doesn’t have a pump, and this is one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to foundation bottles.

Consistency: At first when I poured it onto my hand it felt a little thick, once I applied it to my face with a damp beauty blender it went on extremely smooth and blended out easily. I would definitely recommend using a damp beauty blender since the dampness of the sponge helps sheer out the foundation just enough to not look cakey.

Finish: This foundation is definitely a Matte finish. Even though it is a Matte foundation, I still like to set it just to make sure it stays in place.

Overall: When I first applied this foundation I loved the way it looked on my skin, especially on camera. It looked flawless and it matched my skin perfect. As the day continued, I felt the foundation to be a little thick and it didn’t look as flawless. It wasn’t anything amazing but it’s a nice foundation just to have, especially considering how inexpensive it is. If you’re looking for an inexpensive Matte foundation this a great choice, especially if you don’t plan on wearing it all day long. I have combination skin and I felt like it would stick to my dry patches but if you have really oily skin I definitely think you will love this.

Easy Quick Makeup For Glasses ♥

As you all may know, if you follow me on Instagram or Twitter, I have recently been dealing with an eye infection. Because of this, I haven’t been able to film any makeup videos, since I can’t really put too much makeup on my eye area. I decided to show you guys what I’ve been doing for the past week or so makeup wise while having to wear glasses.

This look is also perfect for those of you who like a more natural look, or for my younger babies who are still in middle school/high school, and are looking for an everyday look.

I hope you guys enjoy this post. Hopefully I’ll be better soon, so I can do the videos and posts I have planned

Sephora VIB Haul ♥

We all know when this time of year comes around all of us makeup addicts get a little crazy! Thankfully, I had my head on right this time around and used my VIB discount at Sephora to only purchase items I needed or have been really wanting to try, no random items. I only purchased five things but I’m really excited about each one!

VIB

Laura Mercier Smooth Finish Flawless Fluide Foundation (Praline) – My Friend Recommended this product to me. I’ve actually never tried any Laura Mercier foundations so I am super excited to try this one as I’ve heard many good things about this specific one. Plus it’s one of her newest foundations!

Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner (Black Ink) – I feel like all of the black gel liners that I own right now still don’t look super black on me. I wanted to try this one since I see it being used over and over on Youtube and it looks super duper black. Let’s hope I love it!

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer – This is another YouTube favorite that I’ve been dying to try. I love experimenting with new primers to see if they help my makeup last longer and minimize my pores!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed (Opal) – This one I bought because my other one broke 😦 I couldn’t live without it and decided to take advantage of the 20%.

Cover Fx Bronzer (Sunset) – I needed a new bronzer and was stuck on my NYX Matte Bronzer for the longest time so I decided to step outside of my NYX box for a little while. I purchased the darkest color of the bunch so that I can use it for contouring.

Those were all of the items I purchased during the VIB sale. I’m very happy with the things I purchased and can’t wait to start using them!

What did you purchase during the Sephora VIB Sale?
