First Impression: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation ♥

IMG_2665

Foundations are probably my favorite beauty product to try out besides lipsticks. I’m always on the look out for that holy grail product. I work most of the day and it’s usually for about 8 hours, so I’m always looking for a foundation that will last me the whole entire day without it sliding off my face or looking spotty.

So far this foundation has become one of my favorites! I heard about it through a few youtubers and have been dying to try so I finally picked it up while at my mall. Seriously this product does not disappoint.

Watch my Youtube video below if you want to see how it applies or read on for more info on this amazing foundation!

Price: $37.00

Where Can You Purchase? Esteelauder.com, Sephora, Any Estee Lauder Counters.

Estee Lauder Claims: “15-hour staying power. Flawless all day. This worry-free, long-wearing makeup stays fresh and looks natural through heat, humidity, nonstop activity. Won’t change color, smudge or come off on clothes. Feels lightweight and comfortable. Now the flawless look you see in the morning is the look you keep all day.” – Esteelauder.com

Packaging: Although it comes in a very nice glass bottle, sort of like the Chanel foundation I love, this one unfortunately does not come with a pump. You have to pour the foundation which stinks because a lot of times you end up pouring too much and waste product.

Consistency: This foundation is definitely thicker than most. It’s a medium coverage foundation but can be built to full coverage. My favorite way of applying it is with a beauty blender because it sheers it out a little and prevents it from looking too cakey.

Finish: This is for sure a matte foundation. For the most part, I’ve been trying not to use matte foundations since my skin has been super dry but this one for some reason just looks so amazing on the skin! It gives you even coverage and a little definitely goes a long way. I’ve never seen my face this perfect with any other foundation.

Overall: Overall I recommend this foundation if you are looking for an all day wear foundation. This does not budge at all. Estee Lauder claims that it lasts 15 hours and I definitely think it would last that long. I personally, don’t wear makeup that long but for the 8 hours that I wore mine, it lasted the whole time without moving at all. If you have dry skin I would try getting a sample first because this can cling to dry patches if not applied properly. Like mentioned before, I definitely think using a beauty blender helps sheer it out and give it a little moisture.

The color selection can also be a little tricky, although there is a large color selection, it took me a while to get matched to my perfect color and even then I still think I ended up buying the wrong color.

Bold Vampy Makeup Tutorial ♥

Lately I’ve been so into dark vampy lips like I’ve never been before. I feel like they seriously make any makeup look, whether it’s simple or intricate, look amazing! Also, most vampy lipsticks make your teeth look whiter, and who wouldn’t want that? One of my serious go-to’s lately has been my Revlon VaVa Violet lipstick. It’s a beautiful deep plum color that can pretty much go with anything. For me, the darker the better when it comes to these types of lipsticks.

While filming this, I had no idea what makeup look I wanted to create. All I knew was that I wanted it to be based on this lipstick. I think it came out pretty good, right?

Lips Of The Moment – Salem ♥

Although I’m a huge fan of bright, fun lipstick colors, once in a while when the weather starts to get chilly, I like to switch it up and wear my vampy lipsticks. For me, the darker the better. This lipstick in particular isn’t necessarily dark, but it’s different. I’ve never owned anything like it. Are you wondering what I’m talking about? You’re right. Salem by LimeCrime. salem I’ve been wanting to try one of their Velveteen lippies for the longest time so when I got the opportunity to purchase one, I was automatically drawn to this one. Salem is like the perfect brown lip product. It’s a Velveteen so it goes on liquid and dries completely matte. It’s a beautiful color and perfect for the Fall. My favorite part of this lip product is that it literally lasts all day and it’s not as drying as some of the other liquid to matte lip products I’ve used before. I think this will definitely be a staple product for me this season!
