Spring is Finally here in NY, or so it feels like it. It’s been a rough Winter, so I’m sure we are all ready for some warmth 🙂 To celebrate the beautiful weather, I decided to create a bold, colorful, Spring look. I hope you guys enjoy it!
If you’ve watched my recent drugstore beauty haul video, you know that I purchased two new foundations. I wanted to try these out for you separately and then compare them to eachother. I know that with drugstore foundations it can be difficult to decide what is best for your skin. Especially since you can’t really get a sample to try before actually buying the product. I decided to start with the Matte & Poreless version of the Maybelline Fit Me foundation since it was the newest out of the two.
Price: $5-$10 (Depending on where you buy it)
Where Can I Purchase? Most Drugstores – Rite Aid, Walmart, CVS, Target, Ulta.com, Drugstore.com
Maybelline Claims: “Fit Me!® Matte + Poreless from Maybelline New York goes beyond skin tone matching to fit the unique texture issues of normal to oily skin for the ultimate natural skin fit. While some foundations can exaggerate pores and oily skin, only our pore-minimizing foundation contains our genius blurring micro-powders that erase pores and absorb oil for a naturally matte and poreless-looking finish.” –Maybelline.com
Packaging: Honestly, The bottle is cute. It’s a small glass bottle. My only downfall about this is that it doesn’t have a pump, and this is one of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to foundation bottles.
Consistency: At first when I poured it onto my hand it felt a little thick, once I applied it to my face with a damp beauty blender it went on extremely smooth and blended out easily. I would definitely recommend using a damp beauty blender since the dampness of the sponge helps sheer out the foundation just enough to not look cakey.
Finish: This foundation is definitely a Matte finish. Even though it is a Matte foundation, I still like to set it just to make sure it stays in place.
Overall: When I first applied this foundation I loved the way it looked on my skin, especially on camera. It looked flawless and it matched my skin perfect. As the day continued, I felt the foundation to be a little thick and it didn’t look as flawless. It wasn’t anything amazing but it’s a nice foundation just to have, especially considering how inexpensive it is. If you’re looking for an inexpensive Matte foundation this a great choice, especially if you don’t plan on wearing it all day long. I have combination skin and I felt like it would stick to my dry patches but if you have really oily skin I definitely think you will love this.
It has been a while since I went out and bought makeup so while out the other day I decided to stop by the drugstore and see what was new. My drugstore usually takes forever to receive the new stuff so I was actually surprised to see some of the newest products that all the YouTube girls have been raving about!
Check out my video to see what products I purchased and let me know if you would like to see a review on any of them!
Today’s post is a little different than most of my other posts because it’s a little personal and informative. If you’ve watched any of my recent videos you probably know that I was in the process of getting LASIK surgery done. Well, I finally did! Guys, it is the best decision I have ever made and anyone who tells me different can just crawl in a hole 🙂
I wanted to make a video for you guys pretty much describing the process through my view because I had so many people curious about how it actually worked. It is a pretty long video but I tried to be as informative as possible. If you have any questions feel free to leave them below and I will try to answer them as best I can.
*Keep in mind, everyone is different and has different eye types. This is solely MY experience, I cannot guarantee the same for you but at least you know what to look forward to. Right?
